Speedcrunch is the default calculator application in Kubuntu and one of the problems that is has is a missing handbook. So I have started working on the manual to get this finished which is currently in Speedcrunch’s subversion branch. As part of that, I have been following the mailing list for speedcrunch.
One of the cool things is that Speedcrunch is using Google for storing its code and also the wiki portions which I’ve never used be
Here is the roadmap for the next release 0.9. Interesting read and I’m enjoying the tie in between svn and the wiki. Anyways here is the roadmap.

In other posts, I’ve mentioned how terrible of a president Robert Mugabe is and how awful the situation in Zimbabwe is. In an article in the Washington Post, there is a story about Mugabe printing more money to pay for projects that don’t have the needed funds.
President Robert Mugabe has promised to print more money to fund municipal projects, a government newspaper reported Saturday. The pledge came despite hyperinflation that has created severe shortages of cornmeal, meat, milk and other staples.
What a sad situation for the people there. Officialy the rate of inflation is 4,500 percent and creating more money will do nothing except drive up rate of inflation.
Further from the story we learn that pharmacists are urging AIDS patients to stock up on their drugs because the manufacturers are running out off the raw materials to make those drugs. ALso in the largest hospital 10 out 18 kideny dialysis machines are broken.
SO what does the great Mugabe blame the problem on? His failed policies? Problems that he has created? Nope those stupid Western countries that have imposed sanctions on his country as punishment for his crimes.
Remember his country is chair of the UN Economic Council.
