According to this post (http://www.freesoftwaremagazine.com/articles/editorial_13), the author arugues that Ubuntu will kill off Red Hat. I disagree for some of the same reasons that were posted in this article on slashdot, http://linux.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=06/08/02/0238233), Red Hat is well known in corporate America and no one has heard of “that funny named Linux distro.” So will it happen? I don’t think so, I think people will stick w/ the “enterprise” solution of Red Hat. Part of the reason is that major vendors don’t work w/ Ubuntu they work w/ Red Hat instead. A brief example would be Altiris. It works w/ .rpms only. Also VM Ware Tools have rpms instead of .debs.
